KW Kiwanis Music Festival 2011
Plans are underway for the 2011 Event!
The Festival will be held earlier as Easter weekend falls at the end of April.
Bands, Orchestras and Choirs will be held the week of April 4 to April 7. The venues have not been confirmed yet.
The remaining sessions: piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, voice, guitar, percussion etc. will be scheduled for the week of April 11 to April 16, 2011. We anticipate that the venues for these sessions will be the same as the 2010 Festival.
We are in the process of updating the syllabus and hope to have it "live" early in September.

Congratulations to all our KW Kiwanis Music Festival participants who were recommended for and are participating in the 2010 Ontario Music Festival Association Provincial Finals at Wilfrid Laurier University here in Waterloo in June.
Delegates are encouraged to come to the Grand Finale Concert on May 19 to receive a medal and to be recognized for their acheivements. Please arrive by 6:30 pm.

Congratulations to all our 2010 KW Kiwanis Music Festival Scholarship Winners.
Please come to the Finale Concert on May 19 to receive your award. Try to arrive by 6:30 pm and register at the appropriate table. If you do not come to the Finale Concert your package will be mailed to you this summer.

The Festival Comittee would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make the 2010Festival a success. The Festival would not run without the army of volunteers who help out every year. We hope you will come back in 2011. If you know of anyone who you think would like to help out as a secretary or usher next year please pass their contact information on through this site.
We invite all our volunteers to the Grand Finale Concert on May 19.

CONGRATULATIONS to all our 2010 Music Festival Participants. We hope you had a great experience this year.
The Grand Finale Concert will be held at Maureen Forrester Hall at Wilfrid Laurier University on Wednesday May 19 from 7 to 9 PM.
The Concert will feature a sample of performances from the 2 weeks of the Festival. There is no admission fee but the Festival appreciates donations to off set expenses for the Event. The Concert is free to the public.
You will be notified over the next couple of weeks if you have been chosen to perform in the Finale Concert.
If you are a scholarship winner please come to the Finale Concert to get your prize and to be recognized!
If you have been recommended to go to the Provincial Competition (to be held at Wilfrid Laurier in June) please come to the Finale Concert to receive your medal and to be recognized.
